Polly Shealy

CHAPIN – Funeral services for Polly Slice Shealy “Grand”, 95, widow of Carl C. Shealy, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Lindler, Robert Lindler, Lynn Shealy, Danny Shealy, Wayne Shealy and Michael Shealy. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Lutheran Women and Lutheran Men. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday November 25, 2011 in the Church Fellowship Hall. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, 844 Columbia Avenue, Chapin, SC 29036.

Mrs. Shealy was born April 12, 1916 in Chapin, SC and passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was a daughter of the late T. Jonas Slice and Lilla Shealy Slice. She was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church where she was a life member of the Lutheran Women.

Mrs. Shealy is survived by her son, Richard C. Shealy and wife, Earline Shealy; son-in-law, Harold Driver; grandchildren, Sherrie McTeer (Billy), Gina Metze (Dion), Mark Driver (Ann), Kyle Driver (Kim), Michael Shealy (Susie) and Kenneth Shealy; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Parker McTeer, Breanna Metze, Liz and Susan Driver, Andrew, Braden, and Cayla Driver, and Jeremy Shealy; sisters, Frances Derrick, Cecile Sealey and Irene Snelgrove. She was predeceased by her husband; daughter, Norma S. Driver; sisters, Elberta Livingston, Cleo Senn, Doll Crapps and Sara Snelgrove; brothers, Bailey Slice, Ansel Slice, Norris Slice, Milford Slice, Dekie Slice, and Edward Slice.
