CHAPIN - Thelma Richardson Farr, 95, widow of Howard T. “Jobbie” Farr passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born September 22, 1921 in Irmo, SC to John Burley Richardson and Mary Elvie Eleazer Richardson and was the last surviving of nine children. She was predeceased by Bob, Charles, George, Poge, Emily, Mary, Verdell and Ruth. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Dale) Shealy and Susan (Larry) Derrick; grandchildren, Monica (John) Griner, Melinda Krell and Jason (Charlene) Derrick; great-grandchildren, Eli Griner, Reagan and Carson Krell, Gracen, Brynley and Caleb Derrick and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Bethel Lutheran Church, White Rock, SC. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 2081 Dutch Fork Rd., Chapin, SC 29036.
