CHAPIN – The family of Todd William Powell, 41, will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather at his home following the visitation to share memories and celebrate his life.
Mr. Powell was born January 10, 1971 in Cumberland, Maryland and passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012. He was the son of Dennis and Georgia Long Powell. Mr. Powell served in the US Navy for nine years. He was a diver and worked on nuclear submarines. He received the Purple Heart in Kuwait. Mr. Powell was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping. He was a longstanding member of the billiards’ team at Ray’s Tavern in Ballentine. Mr. Powell was a grill master and loved to entertain family and friends with his culinary skills and merriment.
Mr. Powell is survived by his parents, his girlfriend, Patty Oliverio and her children, Joseph, Greg and Mary. He will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
