James Gregory Malone

James Gregory Malone, 53 of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord May 14, 2014 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Genevieve and Thomas Malone. James was a 1979 graduate of George Washington High School and was an employee of Komax Business Systems for 14 + years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 519. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Malone; daughters, Megan Young (Jeremy) of Charleston, Jessica, Washington (Brandon); step-daughter, Kristina Dooley (Jason); grandchildren,  Jaelyn, Kadyn and Morgan Dooley, Nikki Nester, and Elinor and Bentley Washington of Dunbar ; brother’s, Mike Malone of Newport News, Virginia, Tommy Malone(Terri) of Ripley; sister, Patricia Malone Riley (Dave) of Ohio; niece and nephew, Amanda and Phillip Malone of Charleston and Christina Blizzard; cousins, Peggy Malone, Julie Malone, Cornelia and Jed Costello, Kathy Burkhart (Rick) and lifelong friends, Charlie and Shannon Foutche of Charleston.  Funeral services will be 4pm Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Johnna Russo officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
