James Salisbury Jr.

James Salisbury,Jr., 90, of Morgantown and formerly Charleston passed on June 7, 2014, in Morgantown. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Peggy and his loving family, nephew, Howard Salisbury and wife , Patti of Charleston, nieces, Jo Anne Salisbury of Manassas Park,Va, Helen Kelly and husband, Steve of Lexington, Ky, and Jeanette Stepp of Irmo, South Carolina. Great nephews, Carey Kelly and David Salisbury, great nieces, Jessica Hertsch, Elisabeth Hunt, Adrienne Cooley and Amy Chapman. His extended family also included his sisters-in-law, Mary Harrison, Janet Stevens and husband, Craig, and loving nieces, Tia Hovatter and Chrissie Horner and husband, Stewart. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Leola Salisbury and father James Norman Salisbury, brother Howard Salisbury, sisters Irene and Lucille Salisbury and great niece, Emily Salisbury. Jim was employed by Union Carbide Corporation and served as the Engineering Departments Service Administrator and later as an Accounting Manager. He graduated from Charleston High School, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Charleston and a Masters in Psychology from Marshall University. He attended Cornell College in Iowa and served in the United States Naval Air Force. Jim was a life-long member of the Baptist Temple, served on the Board of Deacons several times and an usher for many years in his youth. He loved his church, bowling and traveling.
