Alan Lewis Alado was born September, 1965 to June and Antonio Alado in Manchester, England. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Mary Mlodzik Alado and proud father to Nicole (“Nikki”) Alado and Patrick Alado. He was also the much loved brother to Lisa Alado (Gregory Ettl) of Seattle, WA, Pamela (Stan) Dolata of Waukesha, WI, Jennifer (David) Mlachnik of Waterford WI, and Kathleen (John) Gill of Mequon, WI. Alan was also the dear uncle to Olivia, Kathryn, Haley, Julia, Samantha, Marian, David, Kurt, Sierra, Dylan, and Steve, and great uncle to Brody.
Alan grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attended Immaculate Conception grade school, and was a graduate of Milwaukee Trade & Technical High School. It was in Milwaukee that he met the love of his life, Mary. At an early age, he and Mary professed their faith in Jesus Christ and joined Parkway Apostolic Church where they were dedicated members. Alan taught bible studies, worked with youth ministry, ran adult cell groups, and taught Sunday school.
A Journeyman Machinist at Siemens Energy since 1992, Alan transferred to Charlotte, NC in November 1999. As an active member of First Church of Charlotte, Alan was known to all as a builder of community. Between his church, neighborhood, co-workers, golf friends, and other acquaintances, Alan developed a strong network of family in his new hometown.
Alan “AA” will forever be remembered as a joyful soul who was always positive and had a smile on his face. He made friends wherever he went and was the first to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love. It was time with family and friends (preferably on a boat or golf course) that brought him the greatest joy.
Please join us in celebrating his life Saturday, December 8th, with receiving at 11am, followed by a service at 1pm at First Church Charlotte, 4929 N Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC 28205. Burial will be immediately afterwards at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, 5716 Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC .
