OBITUARY
Albert Douglas Han
28 July, 1983 – 16 November, 2020
Albert Douglas Han passed away on November 16, 2020 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Thankfully his wife, Dream; his mother, Eunice; and brother, Martin, were there during his last breath.
A son of Eunice Hahn, he was born in Los Angeles, California on July 28th, 1983. Albert was intelligent and curious. In elementary, he had torn apart brand new computers and put them back together. He breezed through school, achieving awards for his grades. As an 18 year old, Albert had joined the US Army as answer to the incident of 9/11. He mentioned to his mother he wanted to fight for his country. He served an 8 year term from 2001 and was honorably discharged in 2009 as a E5 Sergeant. He was overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan as a helicopter mechanic during those years. Thankfully returning without a scratch.
After being honorably discharged, Albert had obtained his helicopter license and began his first helicopter company with Era Helicopters. He had a chance to work for the Global Aerospace Logistics, Co in Abu Dhabi in 2014. He was an AW139 aircraft tech and loved working with his fellow workers. Albert loved food so much he would watch food bloggers on YouTube while eating. He loved playing his guitar and fishing. He was a proud individual and never looked back on what he did. He had a 25 year old wife, Dream, with him and a 3 year old boy, August, she adopted and he chose to take under his care. He was loving and caring in many different ways.
A service to celebrate Albert's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9th at McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road in Charlotte. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury. The services will be livestreamed and can be accessed through the funeral home website by clicking on "Join Livestream" in the Services portion.

Tar was a great friend! I met Tae at ERA helicopters and we lived on Grand isle for about a year together on hitch! He would always either be playing the guitar or Xbox with friends! We laugh and even cried together! He shall be missed! Here is a photo of Tae singing while some friends were playing ping pong!

My fondest memory of Tae was when we went snowboarding. He stuck with me the entire time showing and teaching me the basics. What I took from that was that Tae was always patient, no matter how long it took for me to get comfortable snowboarding. He gave advise where Tae thought he could help or just listened when he knew someone needed to be heard. Tae, I wish I wasn't writing this memory, I wish I was sending you a message on Facebook to ask you what city you were visiting next, but life had other plans. 내 친구 평화롭게 쉬어

I only met you a few times. You were one of my sons (robert Lee flores) best friend since your army days. He totally enjoyed your friendship and the time spent on the ps4. Thankyou for being a brother to my son. I can only imagine the two of you now playing the ps5 in heaven. My condolences to your family. This is one of the worst things to have to live with. God bless you. Love betty, roberts mom

I’ll always remember Tae being so kind to me and my family. My wife and he had a special connection and she absolutely adored him. We will always remember his great heart and sweet spirit. He was ready to help a friend in need at any time and was always super supportive!
I’ll always remember us racing each other coming home after work. Great fun! And when he used to ask me about how to make the perfect picanha. He had a pure heart and selfless atitude towards everyone around him. You will be missed bro!

It was a pleasure to be around such welcoming and warm people. They reminded so much of you and your generous and kind nature. You will be missed!

Man Tae I remember them times when you were working at Era and you would cook for us sometimes after we would get off from work. You surely knew what it took to make some good eating. You are going to be missed man.

Tae, you’re truly a one of a kind person. One of the most selfless people that I’ve meet. It seems like yesterday we were working in Louisiana. We put that alligator in our apartment and knocked on your door. When you answered, you nearly jumped through your skin! The times we had in the UAE. I will cherish all of the moments that we shared. Rest In Peace my friend.

Tae oppa was always so nice to me even though I was younger and always took the time to talk to me. I was so shy in 8th grade and to me, he was always the coolest and nicest out of them all because he made sure I was included when my cousin took me around to hangout with her friends. I saw him briefly when he came to Atlanta a couple of years ago and though he lived in Abu Dhabi, he would message to check on how I was doing, making sure I was taking medicine, and even sent me referrals as I was new into real estate. I just found out yesterday that when my father passed five years ago, he shared a post about my dad's funeral and he did that even though he didn't know my dad. The world has truly lost a kind-hearted, thoughtful, and beautiful soul. May he rest in peace and play his guitar with the angels. Thank you to his mother for bringing him into this world. You did a good job at raising your son.

I have the fondest memory of my travels to Romania with Tae, the exploits, the awesome food and the last minute decision to buy epic guitars. And back here in Abu Dhabi, the countless nights we shared memories and played those same guitars.
Rest in Peace Tae. I'll miss you so much mate.

Albert was my neighbor, my friend who was like a son to me along with Martin. He was always ready to lend a hand. Respectful is a word that comes to mind- warm and loving young man. I am devastated with his loss but know he is safe in our Lord’s arms. My love and sympathy reach out to my dear dear friend Eunice and Martin. No words can express losing Albert. I love you both.
