Alice Marie Oliver

Alice Marie Oliver, of Charlotte, 78, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at CMC Pineville. She was born in Louisville, KY on June 11, 1934 to the late John and Kathryn Slattery.

Alice was a loving mother of four children. In conjunction with the VFW in Valley Station KY, Alice established transportation for mentally challenged children attending Steven’s School in the 1960’s.

She was preceded in death by her brothers John James Slattery, Jr. (Jim) and Robert Hamilton Slattery (Bob).

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Roy. Her daughters; Linda Louise Oliver, of Charlotte, Mary Leigh Johnston and her husband Bob of Harrisburg, NC. Her sons; Larry Oliver and his wife Nancy of Charlotte, Scott Oliver and his wife Michelle of Indian Trail. Her sister Mary Patricia Sheehan of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by six grandchildren Carey Ann Schuck, Kathryn Johnston, Maxx Oliver, Nikki Oliver, Ryan Oliver, Katie Oliver and one great grandson Aaron Schuck.

The family will receive friends at St. Mathews Catholic Church Chapel 8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy. Charlotte, NC 28277 on Tuesday, December 18th from 6-8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11 A.M. Internment Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
