

He was born October 16, 1945 and was the son of the late Morris and Ida (Marcus) Goldstein. Allan grew up in Bronx, NY.
He served in the US Army in Vietnam in 1966. After this, he worked for the NYC Transit Police from 1967-1991. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1989. Allan continued his law enforcement career for a total of 46 years. He worked for the US Marshalls and then as Federal Protective Services Police Homeland Security. Allan was a first responder during 9/11 in New York and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
Allan enjoyed talking to his friends, telling stories, boxing, watching Fox News, SpongeBob, and the History channel. He also enjoyed walking his dog several miles each day.
Allan is survived by his wife, Josephine, and his three children: son Joseph, (his wife Mariciel), his daughter Susan (her husband Joe), his youngest daughter Christine, and his grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Sarah, Emma, and Catherine.
An older brother, Michael, preceded him in death. Michael is survived by his wife, Diane and their three children Ira, Douglas, and Aileen.
A private service to celebrate Allan’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Home, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. Private interment, with military honors, will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
