Alma Ruth Hopper

Born on November 14, 1938 in New York City she was the daughter of the late Alma and William Heinzelman. She graduated from Ridgewood High School in NJ in 1956.

August 16 2020 was her 62nd wedding anniversary to her High School sweetheart David Hopper. She was a devoted wife, mother and Omi. Many of her neighbors have commented that she was always speaking of her kids and grandkids. Her other love was her little shih tzu Keeko.

She is survived by her husband, David and her 2 children Keith Hopper of Luxembourg and Karen Hopper Chiuchiolo of Tega Cay, and 4 beloved grandchildren Kelsey Hopper, Morgan Hopper, Alex Chiuchiolo and Lauren Chiuchiolo as well as her brother John Heinzelman of Wanaque, NJ and sister Hildegard of Punta Gorda, FL.

A service to celebrate Alma’s life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday January 9, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte NC. The service will also be live streamed on Youtube at Christ Lutheran Charlotte.
