

Andrell Glenn (Andy or Dru) Watts, age 51 of Charlotte passed away November 8, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital. Andy was born in Gastonia on January 9, 1960 to Marileigh Spivey Watts and the late Ralph A. (Jack) Watts. In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine (Sissy) Smith and her husband, Ronnie. He attended Hunter Huss High School. Although he had many and varied interest, his career choice was commercial construction, both in the field and as an estimator/project manager.
Andy was a Lifetime member of B.A.S.S. and a past member of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxillary. For a couple of years prior to and during his illness, Andy enjoyed skeet shooting and sporting clays and he was an avid fan of the Charlotte Checkers. In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by his brothers, Bill (Minnie) and Chris Watts of Gastonia and Stanley, respectively and his wife and love of his life, Carol Kiser Watts. Supporting him with their love throughout his life and his battle with his illness were his many extended family members and friends. Forest Lawn West is in charge of Mr. Watts cremation. There will be no funeral, but a Memorial Service will be announced and held shortly at his church, Charity Independent Baptist Church.
