Anna Marie (Jones) Proctor

Anna was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 3, 1946 to Dolly M. Jones and Della I. Jones. Anna spent her formative years in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Millbrook High School in 1964 and went on to attend Hardbarger Business college. She later became a Real Estate Broker and owned her own company, TriMark Realty in Cary, North Carolina. Anna moved to Charlotte in 1998 where she met and married John S Proctor. Anna was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and professionalism.

Beyond her career, Anna found joy in traveling the world, cooking, reading, fishing, volunteering, was a devoted Christian and had a passion for playing golf. Anna even made two hole in ones. But more than anything Anna enjoyed spending cherished time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter what challenges were being faced. Her warmth, strength, love and humor will be missed.

Anna is survived by her loving daughter, DeAnna D Sellers, Son-in- law, Keith Sellers and her beloved grandchildren, Madison Sellers Calame (and husband Fisher Calame), Sydney Sellers and Jake Sellers. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Dolly J. McKinney and brother-in-law, Thomas W. Jones, nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and 2 younger sisters Edith Collins Jones and Betty Darlene Jones.

Anna’s favorite Bible Verse was Philippians 4:13. “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

A memorial service will be held at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28210 on January 30, 2026 at 2pm.
