Anne Webb Neely

Anne Stuart Webb Neely, 58, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on January 17 at Hilton Head Island beach, surrounded by loved ones, nearly two years after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She was a member of Forest Hill Church for over 30 years, where she met and married David Neely, the love of her life and best friend. At church she served as a greeter, bookstore attendant, and in food service.

Born in Shelby, NC, she graduated from Farragut High School, Knoxville, TN. She earned her Associates Degree in Architectural drafting from CPCC. She brightened the lives of others working as a Certified Nurse Aid in home health. Prior to that she worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for 14 years.

Anne loved the beach, her family, and her pets. Her dogs Duke and Spirit, and cats Savannah and Salem will miss her. She enjoyed travel, especially to Scottish Games and Hawaii.

Survived by husband David R. Neely, sisters Carol Webb Dishart (Daniel) of Pittsburgh, Jean Webb Bonnyman (Brian) of Knoxville, brothers, Dan Webb of Seattle, Sandy Webb (Christine) of Annapolis, Aunts Julie Webb of Knoxville and Margaret Reagan of Savannah, sisters-in-law Phyllis McGalliard (Charles) of Davidson, Jenny Price (Reese) Marion, and Nancy Fernandez (Gary) Salisbury, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother Carolyn McSween Webb, father George McCulley Webb, mother-in-law Gladys F. Neely, brother-in-law Richard L. Neely.
