Born on September 9, 1945, Annette was the daughter of the late Mary Louise Camp and Clarence Addison Braswell. She was a dedicated wife to her husband, the late Howard Willis Stephenson, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
Annette was a proud alumna of the University of Kentucky and remained a passionate, lifelong fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball. She had a successful career as a technical editor and writer, retiring from EPRI.
Annette is survived by her daughter, Mary Stephenson Berkeley, and her grandchildren: Rebecca Beecher, Coby Berkeley, Smith Berkeley, and Addison Berkeley. She is also survived by her three sisters, Kay Walters of Waxhaw, Barbara Triplett of Lenoir, and Ann Gibson of Forest City.
A memorial service to celebrate Annette's life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1623 Carmel Road, Charlotte, NC 28226. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
