Barbara Jane (Sosebee) Auman

Barbara was born September 14, 1935 in Penderlea, NC, She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Sosebee.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack R. Auman, twin sister Betty Short and her sister Frances Prevatte

Barbara was a graduate of Asheboro High School. She went on to follow her dreams of being a loving wife, caring mother and adoring grandmother. Barbara and her late husband Jack enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of their labor with friends and family.

Barbara was determined to bring love and kindness to all she met. She cherished each day and the life she created for herself and her family. Barbara had a spiritual relationship with God at Derita Baptist Church and later Hunter Acres Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three children, Brenda Miller (Greg), Brian Auman, and Deborah Auman (John Struhar); two grandsons, Jack Miller and Ben Miller; a sister-in-law, Esther Auman; niece Pamela Vuncannon (Jimmy) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to VIA Health Partners (Hospice) and Preston House Memory Care for their support and loving care.

Services will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn West Chapel, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10am). After the service, friends and family are welcome to fellowship at Barbara's home.
