The daughter of the late Lillie Mae and Horace F. Crump of Pineville, she was the last survivor of six brothers and one sister.
Barbara was a long-time employee of Cone Mills Corp. in Pineville. She loved the beach and traveling to the Caribbean. She was also a true Tarheel and Carolina Panthers fan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William (Bill) Sanders, her son Bill (Buzz) Sanders and his wife Charlotte; her daughter and best friend Sara Sanders. She is survived by three grandchildren whom she adored: Matthew Sanders, Kelly Dusek and her husband Ben, and Paul Meacham of Saint Simons Island, GA.
Barbara was loved by all who met her.
A time to remember Barbara Ann will take place at McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 on Saturday, January 27, 2017 from 2 - 4 PM.
