Behjat Safaei

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Behjat Safaei (Aziz), who left us peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 97. She was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1928, Aziz's life was a tapestry woven with resilience, grace, and an enduring spirit.

She navigated life's challenges with quiet strength and a steadfast belief in the power of family. In her youth she was known for her vibrant spirit and her passion for learning, which she carried with her throughout her life.

Aziz was a loving mother, and an extraordinary grandmother and devoted great grandmother. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her family, creating a home filled with laughter, delicious food, and unconditional affection. Her kitchen was often the heart of her home, where she would tirelessly prepare Persian feasts, each dish a testament to her love and dedication. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel cherished and welcomed, and her gentle smile and comforting presence were a source of solace to many beyond her culinary talents. Aziz possessed a deep well of wisdom, often sharing stories and insights that illuminated life's simple truths. She taught us the importance of patience, the beauty of forgiveness, and the strength found in unity. Her quiet acts of generosity and compassion touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness.

Aziz a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, is survived by her children: Massoud and Shahnaz, Nahid and Houshang, Soraya and Massoud, Saeed and Betty, Sepideh and Farid. In addition to eleven beautiful grandchildren and eleven gorgeous great grandchildren. Aziz also has a wide circle of relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life beautifully lived-a life rich in love, purpose, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and the lessons she imparted will resonate in our hearts for generations to come.

A service will be held at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park to honor Aziz's life, where family and close friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the profound impact she had on all of us.
