Betty (Bet) Louise Hardin Tilley age 87, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Betty was a resident of Summit Place of Mooresville (North Carolina). Betty was one of eight children born to Roland Lawson Hardin and Essie Franklin Hardin. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Charles Tilley, Sr., daughter Karen Dawn Tilley, and son, Marvin Charles Tilley, Jr. Betty is survived by her sister, Dorothy Etta Hardin Clough (Mooresville, NC) and brother, Donald Lee Hardin (Charlotte, NC).
Betty served in the banking industry. Then, she was employed by Nevins Inc. (Charlotte, NC) where she later retired. Betty was an avid researcher of family ancestry.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Reverend Otis Clough, officiating.
