

Born July 30, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Uhl was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary Angela Hamilton. She was a founding member of St. Ann Catholic Church and was very active in the work of the church. She was also a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed sewing, baking and embroidering, in addition to being devoted to the activities of her children.
She will be remembered with a smile by all who knew her as a person who desired to do things her own way.
Mrs. Uhl is survived by her four children, James C. Uhl (Virginia) of Istanbul, Turkey, Angela U. Knight (Richard) of Bowling Green, KY, Margaret U. Lewis (James) of Asheville, NC, and Thomas W. Uhl (Linda) of Austin, TX; and a sister, Pat Hardin of San Diego, CA.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Richard Knight III (Elaine), Casey Knight, Alex Lewis (Ali), Elizabeth Uhl, John Uhl, James Uhl, and Andrew Uhl.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Uhl was predeceased by her husband, James F. Uhl; and a sister, Leila Henderson. .
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30th at Harry & Bryant. Visitation will follow until 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31st at St. Ann Catholic Church by the Reverend Timothy S. Reid, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
