Billy Joe Geddings Sr.

Billy Joe Geddings, Sr., 67, of Charlotte, entered in to rest on February 24, 2016. A native of Scotland County, NC, he was the son of the late Laurin and Nessie Maude Goins Geddings. Mr. Geddings was employed by Charlotte Paint Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Geddings is survived by his wife, Phyllis Diane Donaldson Geddings; by his daughters, Jan Hyatt and husband Bryan of Dallas, NC and Tammy Pressley and husband Randy of Charlotte; by his son, Billy Joe Geddings, Jr. and wife Patricia of Charlotte; by his sister, Pauline Harper and husband James of Charlotte; and by brother, David Geddings of Laurens, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating the life of Mr. Geddings will be held at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM. James Harper will conduct the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
