Carol Walton Frohboese

Carol died on the 18th day of August, 2024. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her five siblings. Carol graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart (now part of Boston College). She married the love of her life, Ernest. Ernie and Carol started out in New York City and then moved many times around the country, ending up in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to working in Boston and New York City, Carol was a community volunteer in several states. In Charlotte, she was a volunteer with Assistance League of Charlotte.

Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ernie; children Pam (Paul) McDill and Laura (fiance Rich Calcasola). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily and Allison McDill and Carol's sister, Lenore McCormack.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice. If you cannot decide, choose among one of Carol's, including the Humane Society of Charlotte but mostly give love. Let your family, your friends, and those you touch in your daily life know how special and loved they are. There is no greater gift.

Those who called her ChChi, Mom, and Gramma remember her as an amazingly kind and thoughtful person. We treasure the many cards, NOGs (no occasion gifts) and articles she sent. She gave her all to her family, making every home homey and every holiday special. We're grateful for her teaching us the value of faith, family, service, lifelong learning, organization, and good grammar. She will be missed but never forgotten.
