Tina, as most people knew her, was born with Down Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder caused by an extra 21st chromosome. While this disorder limited her physical and mental capabilities, it never limited her unconditional love for God, family, friends, and the NY Giants.
She appreciated the simplest things in life, things we all probably take for granted. After graduating from West Morris High School, Tina moved to California with her parents. It was here where she began her journey to live independently. She spent time learning the skills necessary to live on her own. In 2001 she realized this dream and had her own apartment and roommate. This independence was an amazing accomplishment for her and provided her a sense of normalcy. She walked to the store, shopped for her food, cooked for herself, and maintained her apartment with just a little help from her coaches and parents. She loved participating in social programs, Special Olympics, and attending church and bible study. Her faith was strong, and she was a devout and vocal disciple.
In 2021 she moved back to the East coast with her parents to live in Charlotte, NC where her brothers reside. The opportunity to be together was long over due and Tina was now able to spend more quality time with their families. She loved her five nieces and nephews with all of her heart, and everyone will cherish the priceless time spent with Tina.
She changed lives forever and always for the better. She introduced her family to wonderful friends and the most caring people - all because she was such a beautiful soul. What an amazing gift she was to all, and now one of God’s angels. We love her and will miss her greatly, but she will always be part of the many lives she touched, forever. Rest in peace Tina, you are home with the Lord.
Christina is survived by her parents Tom and Nancy, her brother Jeff and wife Kimberly, her brother Russ and wife Ashlie, and nieces/nephews Ryan, Carter, Kelsey, Andrew, and Davis.
