Our dear mother Claudette Eugene sadly passed away at home surrounded by family on June 4, 2023, at the age of 79.
She was born in Milot, Haiti on November 25, 1943, to the late Mr. Guerrier Eugene and Mrs. Duracia Vincent Eugene. She did her primary studies at the Philippian Baptist School in Milot. She traveled to Cap-Haitien for her secondary studies at the Lycée Philippe Guerrier. She was the mother of three beautiful daughters: Adeline Arnaud, Myrtilene Jean-Francois, and Kerline McGill.
She was a devout Christian woman deep in her faith, through which she was a founding member of Tabernacle Church of God of Grace. She also met everyone with kindness, grace and love. Her faithful and giving heart meant that she always wanted to help others no matter what. She was always willing to give and help others even when she didn’t have much herself. In her final days, she remained strong in her faith. She faced her illness with grace and courage as she knew she would soon be with the Lord. A giant of the faith is gone, but the love we all have for her is not.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Adeline, Myrtilene, and Kerline; her sons-in-law: John Arnaud, Charite Jeantilhomme, Montr’e McGill; her grandchildren: Stanley Arnaud, Ashline Arnaud, Kadyn Jeantilhomme, Ethyn Jeantilhomme, Preston Irby, and Aryana Jeantilhomme; her brother Christian Eugene and sister Lunie Eugene Ferdinand; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It’s a sad day for many, but on June 4th, an angel received her wings. May we all rejoice as a daughter has returned home to be with her Heavenly Father.
