Mr. Clifton Paul Sweeney

Clifton Paul Sweeney, died suddenly February 21, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend.

Clif was born to Mary Saccuzzo and Clifton Edward Sweeney on October 19, 1944 in Hartford CT. Clif graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1962 and served his country in the US Air Force for 4 years. He married Diane Dinucci on May 24, 1969. After spending many years as a computer programmer in Rocky Hill, CT, he moved in July 2001 to Charlotte.

Survivors include his wife Diane Dinucci Sweeney, children Jessica of Seattle and Clif of Charlotte. His four siblings include sister Donna and husband Bill Babbitt of Gales Ferry, CT, brothers; Mark and wife June of Sioux Falls, SD, Dennis and wife Maureen of Wethersfield, CT, and phone-buddy David and wife Kristi of Enfield, CT. He had many nieces and nephews, and many good friends and neighbors of the Ridgeloch subdivision. He also had several beloved cats.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC with Dr. Alexis Sage officiating.
