Corry "Spank" Vydrene Earls, born on November 8, 1976, in Blacksburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 18, 2026, at the age of 49. Corry was a resident of Blacksburg, South Carolina, and was known for being awesome, loving, witty and well-mannered.
Corry was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Class of 1995. He was an awesome basketball player and was the team's secret weapon known for his 3 point shooting skills. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with friends and was renowned for his culinary skills. One of the most important things that brought Corry happiness was his son Camden and all of his accomplishments.
Corry is survived by his son, Camden Earls, and his mother, Carolyn Earls. He was predeceased by his father, Willie Woods, Jr., and his grandparents, Raymond and Elizabeth Earls, and Willie Woods, Sr. and Pamela Woods. His extended family includes aunts Tina Burton (John), Adline Sharp, and Jacqueline Ford (Malachi), Barbara Woods, Cathy Moore (Donnie); uncles Raynard Earls (Jackie), Glenn Earls (Carla), and Ethan Woods; great aunt Carrie Mae Hames and a host of cousins and friends. Corry was also preceded in death by his aunts Brenda Jean Earls and Patricia Earls, uncle John Sharp, and great aunt Modean Marshall.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Corry will be loved and missed by all.
