Costantino Turano

HARRISBURG - Costantino Turano (Tino) passed away peacefully at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville on Monday January 26, 2015. Born in Crotone, CZ (Italy) on January 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Gaetano Turano and Michelina Belmonte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Giulia and Antonietta Turano.

Mr. Turano is survived by his wife, Maria Turano; three children: daughter, Michelina T. Hagaman and husband Edward Hagaman and their children, Alexander and Allyssa Hagaman, all of Virginia; son, Gaetano Antonio Turano; daughter, Daniela Turano and husband Giuseppe Acito and their children, Antonio and Giuliana Acito, all of Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister, Franca Turano, and many nieces and nephews, all of Crotone, CZ (Italy).

Mr. Turano worked at Rome Strip Steel in Rome, New York for 25 years. He was an enthusiastic soccer fan. Mr. Turano enjoyed traveling to Italy every year where he would stay for six months to spend time with his family and enjoy the beach.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte, NC, with a Memorial Mass following at 10:30 a.m.
