

Donald Floyd Williamson and his wife, Elizabeth Self Williamson, of Charlotte left for their new home in heaven this weekend. Elizabeth, daughter of John & Isadora Self, went to sleep Friday, June 13 and passed peacefully in the evening. Donald, son of Joe & Sadie Williamson, went to sleep Saturday morning, June 14 and peacefully joined his beautiful bride. The perfect ending to their love story. They are survived by their adoring family: brother Tom Willliamson & wife Margaret of Monroe; son Donald F. Williamson, Jr. & wife Kathy, daughter Cheryl Elizabeth & husband Herb Dickinson; Grandchildren; John Williamson & Stephanie, Christine Huggins & Scott, Kerri Williamson & John Willford, Tommy Williamson & Maria, Ashley Dickinson and also Darren Hill; thirteen great-grandchildren by age: Bailen, Niccoli, Jonah, Levi, Sadie, Hallie, Andrew , Kaleb, Drake, Jesse, Cosmo, Cody, and Henry; and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws & friends. Donald and Elizabeth were both WWII veterans, faithful members of Kings Cross ARP church ( formerly Tabernacle APR), and devoted to each other and their families. Their family was blessed by them, and invites you to celebrate their lives. Family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, from 6:00-8:00 pm and services will be held in their honor at McEwen on Friday, June 20, at11:00 am.
