

Born March 16, 1925 in Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Ferguson was the daughter of the late Thomas Leo Eddens and Blanche Carpenter Eddens. She attended Charlotte City Schools, and graduated from Central High School in 1944.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred Burton Ferguson, sisters; Evelyn Faulk and Eunice Moody, brothers; Thomas Eddens, Ed Eddens, Herbert Eddens, and James Eddens. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her brother, John Eddens, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ferguson had a great love of nature and wildlife, and expressed her love through her many years of service to the environment. She took great pride in that her yard was designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Mrs. Ferguson especially enjoyed hiking in the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains with her husband Fred.
Mrs. Ferguson worked as a bookkeeper and accounting clerk. During World War II, she was a volunteer in the Office of Price Administration.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ferguson will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27th at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Dr. The family will receive friends at the grave site following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Wildlife Federation or Nature Conservancy, North Carolina Chapter.
