Doris Freck

Doris Freck, 88, of Charlotte NC, passed away early Friday morning, February 18, 2022 at Atrium Hospice in Kannapolis. She had suffered with Alzheimer’s the last year, and had long suffered with chronic back pain.

She was preceded in death by her husband Max Freck back in 2017. Also preceded by brothers Charles and Lamar of Asheville NC. She is survived by sons, oldest Stephen Freck of Stanton, California, and his children, Gabriela, Mickey, Benjamin, Fabian, Dorian, and his grandchildren, Skyler, Schala, and Ivy. Also survived by youngest son Terry Freck of Weddington, NC and his wife Kay, and children Marne, Erick, and Kim, as well as 11 grandchildren.

Doris worked at Duke Power for about 15 years back in the 80s and 90s. She loved being active outside in her yard, and was still trying to trim bushes even late last fall. She fought hard to remain independent.

She was a member of Calvary Church in Charlotte for over 45 years.

Funeral will be Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11 am at the Chapel at Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville -

Matthews Rd., Charlotte, NC 28226. Burial will immediately follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
