

Mrs. Honeycutt, age 79, of Charlotte died Sunday, July 17, 2011 surrounded by her family at home.
She was born September 30, 1931 in Conway, South Carolina the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth Parker.
Mrs. Honeycutt attended Winthrop College on an academic scholarship. She worked many years with Colgate Palmolive before owning Ace Secretarial Service.
A celebration of life will take place 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20 at Amity Presbyterian Church with Pastor Betsy Williamson officiating. Following the service at the church the family will receive friends for a reception. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park will be private.
Mrs. Honeycutt was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her compassion for others will be deeply missed. In addition to her family, her greatest love in life was reading and continued education.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Walter; brother, Arthur Parker; and sisters, Myrtle Singleton and Francis Batten.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Rallis of Weddington, Debbie Toler and her husband Bill of Wayne, PA, and Donna Simpson and her husband Duane of Mooresville; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristin, Austin, Michael, Parker, Leah and Grant; two sisters, Virginia Petrea and Martha Mullis.
The family would like to recognize Tiffany Willoughby, Dale Wilson, Jamine McGiff and Adult Care and Share for their amazing care and companionship.
