

Edith Taylor Brown, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 96. A resident of Mint Hill, North Carolina, Edith was known for her hard-working and generous nature, as well as her devotion to her family.
Born on September 17, 1929, Edith grew up in Charlotte, NC. Her early life in Charlotte laid the foundation for a life filled with love and achievements.
Edith was married to Delmas Colston Brown Jr. (deceased). Together, they raised three sons Mike (Pat), Mark (Tricia) and Ricky (deceased), and were blessed with five grandchildren, Tina, Holly, Michelle, Heather, Ricky Jr, and eight great-grandchildren, to whom she was a devoted matriarch.
A woman of many interests, Edith loved to shop and dine out, and spend time with her grandchildren, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with those around her. Her passion for fashion was evident in her professional life, where she served as the Executive Director of the Carolina Virginia Fashion Exhibitor for many years in Charlotte. Her leadership in this role was marked by her dedication and vision.
Edith was also a member of North Side Baptist Church, where she found a sense of community and spiritual fulfillment.
A graveside service will be held in her honor at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, located at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC, 28212. The service is scheduled for January 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Edith Taylor Brown will be remembered for her generous spirit, her thoughtful nature, and the wise counsel she offered to all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
