Edward "Ed" H. Davis Jr.

Edward "Ed" H. Davis, Jr., 89, of Charlotte died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Davis was born to the late Edward H. Davis, Sr. and Vashti Hunter Davis on July 18, 1931. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Davis also retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years following his time in the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Lions Club. Mr. Davis was a past longtime member of Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church where he had served as deacon, elder and church treasurer. He was a member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church at the time of his passing where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Deane Davis, children, Tom Davis, Karen Rinehults (Scott), sister, Carolyn "Sissy" Davis, grandchildren, Catrina Davis and Jennifer Rinehults.
