Edwin Stanton Cude Jr.

Stan was the son of the late Maebell Moses Cude and Edwin Stanton Cude, Sr. He was a long-time member at Kilgo United Methodist Church, and he later attended Memorial United Methodist Church. He worked at Duke Energy as a mechanical designer for 32 years. After retirement, Stan enjoyed time at the beach with his family and worked diligently at Kilgo on the church grounds as well as the maintenance of the building.

Stan is survived by his wife of 66 years of marriage, Joan Kendrick Cude; his sister Rosalyn (Roger); his children, Sherry and Joe; his three grandchildren, Kati (Adam), Justin (Rachael), and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Shoshana, and Leonard. Stan was preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Cuthbertson Village. They also appreciate and acknowledge the loving care Stan received from the caregivers at Hospice Palliative Care.

In memory of Stan, memorials can be sent to the Aldersgate Christmas Angel Tree or to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28226.

A Celebration of Life for Stan Cude will be held in the RHCC Hall at Aldersgate on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2pm, followed by a reception in the Aldersgate Living Room.
