Ellen was predeceased by her parents Vernon and Opal Castle and her ex-husband Perry Potter.
She is survived by her daughters Shannon Nejeschleba (husband Guy), Deva Chirico (husband Martin), and son Scotty Coutuier (wife Elizabeth), her grandchildren Sage Nejeschleba, Dominick Chirico, James Coutuier, Gracie Coutuier and Hailey Siplon, her sisters Verna Eller, and Barbara Robinson, and brother Lewis Castle.
Ellen grew up in Zionville, NC and was a member of Zionville Baptist Church and Choir Director.
She moved to Charlotte to attend Kings College and graduated with a accounting degree. Ellen worked at Interlock, than Keiltex Corperation, and retired from MMIC consulting.
Ellen loved the beach.. Her happy place.. She was a gourmet cook and a talented seamstress. She collected and loved Art.
She was a loyal sister, Mother and friend. Ellen would stand by you through think and thin - and would tell you the truth whether you liked it or not. She will be missed by so many.
