Mrs. Taylor, age 89, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Northeast Medical Center of Concord.
Elsie was born August 31, 1922 in Gastonia, North Carolina and lived in Charlotte for many years before moving to Concord. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence William Taylor and a granddaughter, Veronica Clawson.
She is survived by her 4 children, Priscilla Clawson (Ray), Thomas W. Taylor (Hazel), Elaine Street (Robert) and Harold Taylor. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren to treasure memories of “Nannie”.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2012 at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, 7940 Rocky River Road, Concord, NC 28025 with the Reverend Doctor Kyle D. Hite officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
