Born in Huntersville, NC on August 18, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Wilkie Stillwell.
A retired nurse, Mrs. Shaw had served as a staff nurse at Mercy Hospital and later served as Director of Nursing at a nursing home. Following retirement, she, along with her late husband of nearly 60 years, Lorin Shaw, they settled in Burnsville, NC. For the past 3 years she has been living in Apopka, FL.
Survivors include 2 sons, Ronald Shaw and Derwin Shaw; 3 grandsons, Alex, Daniel and Christopher; 3 sisters, Betty Stillwell, Lillian Stillwell and Janie Britton.
Graveside services are planned for 2:00 pm Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Gilead ARP Church Cemetery, 15303 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, NC where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.
