Evelyn worked at Woolco Department store in customer service for 15 years on Sugar Creek Road in Charlotte.

Evelyn attended Statesville Road Baptist Church. She was a very timid and reserved person until she got to know you. However, she had a strong love for children and adults who were homeless or in need. She loved to take care of her several cats and racoons that she fed daily. She also enjoyed tending to her rose bushes and flower beds. She gave to many charities that help people and animals. She always said, “If your bills are paid and your needs are met, God wants you to help others.”
The family would like to thank her sons, granddaughter Jennifer, and all of the hospice nurses who cared for her over the last month.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice that helps people or animals.
