Frances Hair Pridgen

She served 20 years as secretary at Cochrane Junior High School before her retirement in June 1987. She was an active member of Commonwealth UMC. She enjoyed bridge, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Courtney Pridgen.

She is survived by her daughters, Frances Lynch and husband Ron of Voorhees NJ, Sarah Rook and husband Jim of Spartanburg SC, and Courtney Maggio of Indian Land SC; granddaughters, Elizabeth Epps and husband Mike, and Jennifer Ridings and husband Josh both of Spartanburg SC. She has four great-grandchildren, Mac and Charlie Epps, and Nora Frances and Simon Ridings.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017 beginning at 10:00 am at Commonwealth United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 10:45 am. Burial will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Commonwealth UMC, 2434 Commonwealth Ave, Charlotte, 28205 or a charity of your choice.
