Frances lived a long and meaningful life, marked by resilience, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Augustus Pigg and Lythia Carpenter; her daughter, Barbara Sigmon Rhom; and her son, Tony Gregory.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren:, Renee Ganous, Timmy Sigmon, Tonya White (Michael) and Kyle Gregory (Renata); her great-grandchildren: Jessica (Michael), Brandon (Elizabeth), Darren, Andrea, and Isaiah; and her great-great-grandchildren: Israel, Jolie, Elliot, Mekhi, and Declan.
Mimi’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love touched all who knew her. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose legacy of love and family will live on for generations.
A graveside service will be held on February 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, Charlotte, North Carolina.
