

Fran, 75, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Charlotte, North Carolina. At her side were her beloved family. Born in Waterville, Maine on April 30, 1948 to Edgar and Yvonne Poulin, Fran was the youngest of six children.
After high school graduation, she earned an Associate Degree from Mount Ida Junior College and later a Bachelor's degree from George Mason University.
In 1968, she moved to Washington D.C. to work for the Office of Navel Research and later took a position with the U.S. Department of Education as a graphic designer and calligrapher. On June 28, 1975, Fran married her high school sweetheart. They continued to live, work and raise their family in the D.C. area until retiring and moving to South Carolina in 2021.
Blessed with an array of talent, Fran nurtured a love for music, the arts, graphic and artistic design, calligraphy, decorating and sewing, all for the benefit of her family, friends and community. What she coveted and nurtured above all was Gods' gift of marriage and motherhood.
Fran was preceded in death by her four sisters, Jeanne Hallee, Priscille Hallee, Claudette Ouellette, Claire Donley, and one brother, Arthur Poulin.
She is survived by her husband Andrew, her daughter Ashleigh Neal and husband Matthew, grandsons Rorik and Killian and her daughter Christine Kershner and husband Bryce, and granddaughters Madeline and Suzette.
The family expresses utmost gratitude to Dr. Ashley Sumrall & her team and Dr. Armida Parala-Metz of the Levine Cancer Institute and Dr. Lauren Hull, Carmel Family Medicine for their unwavering care and compassion.
