Mr. Wilson was a teacher and minister. An avid historian and genealogist, he also enjoyed cooking and gardening and recently added beekeeping to his hobbies. He graduated from Marshall University with a B. A. degree. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, and Bachelor of Science in Continuing Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
He is survived by his wife Leslie, two stepdaughters and their husbands; Cathleen and Chris Grant, Jennifer and Paul Kepp; and three granddaughters, Ginna Grant, Chloe Kepp, and Natalie Kepp.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Reedy Creek Park, Indoor Shelter #3 (W. T. Harris to Rocky River Road).
