Glenn made my days at (W) fresh out of college a true learning experience.  So sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Shelby &  Family;

The passing of that sweet man Glenn is a loss I deeply feel.  Our friendship goes back to the early Hagan days as you may recall; Glenn was my soulmate from staying at the Tonydale Motel during our 1959 control systems training to visits much later, including your stay in my Mill Valley CA house for a week or so.

Glenn was one of the few with whom  I could share stories from those ancient Hagan days.  From hanging on to sayings like "The whole ball of wax", to "that will bite you in the end"-sayings by our instructors which we kept alive for decades.

During my visits to Pittsburgh, your welcoming me to dinner from time to time, as I announced my presence to you with "Hi Honey-I'm Home" were fond and loving memories indeed, and a lovely respite from the droning on of sales meetings.

As time goes by, if you find yourself in San Francisco, I think we should meet for a lovely glass of wine and raise a toast to Glenn on high.

Such a loss of such a friend, too little seen but not to be forgotten

Dearest Shelby. I am very sad to hear that Glen has gone.I always enjoyed his mails and attachments. There were so many good clips I shared with other friends. I have a poem of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and try to translate it into English.
One morning, you don't wake up anymore, but the birds are singing like yesterday. Nothing changes this daily routine, only you are gone, you are free and our tears wish you luck.

Mrs. Caulfield, I was so sorry to learn of Glenn's death.  I knew Glenn when I worked at Westinghouse Atlanta and his division.  I worked for Gordon McFarland and Mike Kirchman and attended some of the meetings and training classes where I met Glenn.  He was one of the nicest men I had ever met.  He was always the same, laughing and smiling and was such a smart man.  I know how much he will be missed by all his family and friends.  Just know that God now has a first class angel to watch over all of you.

I was deeply saddened to learn about Glenn. We have been friends for some time through our sessions at Cardiac Rehab.  We became good friends after I got my current miniature schnauzer 5 years. He heard me talking about my dog many times and the more I talked the more our friendship grew.  He indicated that he wanted one also but first he had to get his backyard fence fixed. Then he had to convince his wife that it was time. He frequently mentioned that he was getting close to getting the idea of a new dog accepted. The last time we talked he said that he was actively looking and just needed the right dog. He appeared excited about the prospect. I had gotten him in contact with my breeder and he was tracking her litters to see if she had the right one.  The sad part of this story is that when I talked to my breeder yesterday she told me that she thought that she had 2 that met his criteria list.  I believe that these 2 puppies have missed a chance to be adopted by the perfect owner. Those people that met Glenn will share my sense of loss that he is no longer with us.

Scott and family, I was saddened to read of your dad's passing. You and your parents were always so nice to me. I still have the Miami Dolphins sweatshirt. May God ease your pain.

Quite a shock to get the call about Glenn's death.  I was rather expecting a call saying you were coming to Wisconsin for a long postponed visit.

Sorry we can't attend the funeral as we're flying from Arizona to Wisconsin on Saturday, but we will plan to visit Charlotte this summer.  He was a great cousin, and he began every phone converation with:  "Cousin Tom, this is Cousin Glenn"!  We will never forget our time together in Savannah and Hilton Head.

Really enjoyed the picture gallery.....Lots of memories, and to my surprise, Glenn matured to look just like me!

I have worked on their computers since December 2001. They knew me before I got married and had children. Ever since my kids were born they always ask me how they are doing every time I went to see them. They showed a real interest and I would open up to them and tell them stories about things my kids would do or places we would go. In fact, in the last few years we have sent them Christmas cards with pictures of our kids and I only have a couple of residential customers I consider close enough to send them cards.

Glenn was truly a gentle good hearted man and he made a difference in my life.

To Shelby and the family, it grevies me to hear of Glenn's death. Since he and I were born on the same day of the same year he has felt like a brother to me. Mary and I are remembering you in our prayers daily that the Lord will comfort you at this time. We loved Glenn and Shelby as dear friends.
