Greg Hardin passed away peacefully on November 19, surrounded by his loved ones after bravely battling health issues for several weeks. Born on August 11, 1971, to Susan Davis Hardin Germuth and the late William Ray Hardin, Greg was a lifelong resident of Charlotte, NC. He attended Harding High School and earned his bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte, followed by a Master of Science in Cyber Security from Western Governors University.
Proudly serving in the United States Air Force, Greg fulfilled both foreign and domestic assignments. After completing his active duty, he continued his military service for an additional seven years as a member of the Air National Guard, earning numerous awards and citations throughout his career.
Greg dedicated his professional life to the field of Information Technology, most currently working as the Program Manager in Critical Infrastructure Protection at SERC Reliability Corporation in Charlotte.
Known for his warm and welcoming demeanor, Greg was a true southern gentleman. His quick wit, genuine smile, striking good looks, and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Greg is survived by his wife, Dr. Bevin Malley; his daughter, Kiely Hardin; his mother, Susan (Fred) Germuth; his grandmother, Margaret Yandle; his uncle, Bruce Davis (Nurian); his aunt, Pam Hardin Oliver (Buddy); several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
As he leaves this earthly life, Greg is embraced in the eternal presence of God, reunited with friends and family who preceded him in death. Though he will be greatly missed, we hold on to the hope in the Lord that we will see him again, whole and healed.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care for Greg during his final days.
