Harriette G. O'Hair

She was born in Charlotte, Sept. 11, 1924, to Keely A. Grice and Louise Dixon Grice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Grice Seanor; brother, Keely A. Grice, Jr.; and a niece, Marc O’Hair Griffith.

She graduated from Central High School and Queens College. On June 26, 1948 she married Richard H. O’Hair, who also preceded her in death. She worked for many years for Boyte Williams Architects and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Harriette was a tireless servant and the consummate Proverbs 31 woman.

She is survived by daughters, Bonnie O’Hair Murray and husband Syd of Knoxville, TN and Amy O’Hair-Smith of Charlotte; and a son, Richard H. O’Hair, Jr. and wife Karen of High Point, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Sydney Murray III and wife Tiffany, Richard O’Hair III, Colin Smith Jr., Ashley O’Hair and Keely Smith; as well as a great-granddaughter, Greyson O’Hair. She was affectionately called Momo by her family.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, May 4 at 1:30 p.m. by Dr. Russ Dean at Park Road Baptist Church, Charlotte, with visitation following.
