Peace be, Harry!  Your spirit was always on the upswing. You were a bright light on  cloudy day.  You were the warmth of the sun on a sunny day.  You were a great friend and most thoughtful in every way.  I already miss you and wish you all the best in your next life.  I am confident that you will live it well as you have your life on this earth.  Well done, my friend!

Harry has been a family friend for many years. He and Dan Taylor grew up together and were always the best of friends. No doubt they are hanging together in Heaven... Maybe even having a drink or two. Harry, you will be missed, but never forgotten. We love you!

I'm so sad to hear of my ole friends passing. We went to the prom together and had tons of laughs in our younger days. He used to always want to listen to Jim Morrison as we drove around. Then we would listen to Blondie sing "ohhhh  your hair is beautiful..." from Atomic and didn't he always have GREAT hair!  :-) oddly we loved a song also by Blondie called "Die Young. Stay Pretty" and that he did.  He used to come visit me and my room mate Maria when we were in college and we'd laugh and laugh and laugh. Harry, Maria passed too soon too  as you know. Give her a hug from me because I know you are both Angels now. Rest in peace dear friend.

Harry touched so many lives as a Facebook friend,  a stranger in a coffee shop he just met.  Harry had an elegance and personal style to write a story you wanted to engage with him, good or bad his words were so enthralling  you were part of the story.  Knowing Harry from cutting his hair, then to  his insurance business and blessed to becoming a very good friend. His professional life was just as fascinating and enjoyable to hear about as his personal life of his beautiful daughter Kaitlin his parents and siblings.  Many Friday nights I listened to his journeys he shared, or his times in my Chair. I loved when he would come by my salon to just have a coffee to chat about his treatments. This man really has no words that could ever describe what an amazing Dad, Brother, Friend , Humanitarian, and most of all a truly wonderful man we all will miss and I will never forget. I know Harry would want a smile and anyone he knew to know he truly cared.  I will truly miss My Very Special Friend.  Thank you God for  giving me the opportunity to meet and know this Angel you now have.

Harry we have been friends since 1st grade.  You had been in and out of my life ever since.  Thank you for your friendship.  I have been inspired, educated and at times humiliated by you buddy...I have to chuckle thinking about some of our times together..... you were always quite the dude. Your strength in this battle has been awesome - your attitude - your humility - absolutely inspiring. I could go on. Thanks Harry, I am a better man from knowing you. I can imagine you already have some groupies in heaven.

I ll certainly miss Harry ,a one and only .We could discuss Shakespeare ,the Bible -sports ,politics ,women .How many other guys know Shakespeare and the Bible .Saying that ,he did remind me of Paul ,,"Fighting the Fight ,Staying the Course " .We had a great Dean and Deluca an afternoon before he left us .The comments I recall now -"They say ,cancer subsided -but lets do more chemo .I cant talk ,even here at D And D ,my saliva gone -I cant taste " .Like Paul ,he fought ,he stayed the course .Im glad He s Home .

Over the past 5 years, Harry and I became close friends. We had some great times together going to events and watching football. I especially enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with Harry and Mandy in 2011. The Laughlin family will be in my prayers.

A lifetime friend wIth whom I had good times and bad. I will miss him dearly. God bless all you Laughlin's! Peace be with you all!

HBL, you knew music but then you knew blues music and were the only one that when I said "Itta Bena or Dockery's plantation" you knew. When I mentioned Sherry Stovall (back in my banking days) you offered up Howard Stovall and gave me a glimpse into history. You shall be missed is an understatement...I wrote "I asked for water" and you replied "She gave me gasoline". Right then I knew I had met my kindred soul. Too soon Daddy O...see you in the greater glory that is our Lord...promise.

I've known Harry since the old days in downtown Harrisburg, where we used to have the times of our lives, along with many old friends. Where did the time go my friend? Dan Klain

Although I've never met Harry in person, he was one of my best friends on Facebook... We'd always talk about him coming up here for some great fishing, or me travelling down there for the Nascar Race at Charlotte. I was hoping that one of the two would happen this summer... He was so brave when he was diagnosed with cancer, and always had a positive outlook on the situation he was in... I'm gonna miss him very dearly... Rest In Peace my Friend...

I have many fond and fun memories of growing with Harry. I followed him on Facebook and was inspired by  the way he handled his illness. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I knew Harry for less than a year, but his impact and his passing had a profound impact on my life.  He was a complex man, he challenged me, made me look at the world a different way. He attended a fashion ball with myself and some friends and he got more attention than the models. :-)  Only Harry would find a fashionable way to cover his throat tube with an ascot.  Attached pics from that night, he was really happy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  He spoke proudly of his brothers and sisters and how beautiful and smart his daughter is. I am very sad to here of Harry's passing. As a good friend of Harry for many years he probably made me laugh more than anyone else I have known. We also shared a love of different music. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed.
