The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home.
He was born October 7, 1953 in Mecklenburg County to the late Horace Girardeau and Jeannie VanderVeer Leland. Lee was an avid NASCAR watcher and was a devoted Carolina Panthers fan. He also stayed busy on his acreage and enjoyed woodworking.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Terry Leland of the home; daughter, Joanne Joy Rohan of Charlotte; grandchildren Elizabeth Rohan, Timothy Rohan and Catherine Rohan all of Charlotte; sister, Renie Bridges (Eugene) of Raleigh; brother Chuck Leland (Rhonda) of Lake Wylie, SC and his canine companion Nikki.
