Charlotte - Huldah B. Bissette, 80, died on October 25, 2013 at The Haven in Pineville, NC. She was born on May 22, 1933 in Wilson, NC to the late John and Thelma Hayes Best.
Huldah was most passionate and proud of her years at Charlotte Memorial Hospital (CMC). She was employed for over 18 years as supervisor of the Medical Records Department, where she met some of Charlotte's finest doctors in their intern years. She also worked many years with Interim Healthcare, and Avante of Charlotte.
She was a loving mother and a wonderful person, who was always willing to help those around her. Huldah never lost her sense of humor, and was a "real trooper" till the end. She was loved by all that met her. To quote Shannon at the Haven, "Huldah taught us all about life's lessons." We will carry her memory in our hearts always.
Huldah is survived by her daughter, Debbie Kenna and husband Dennis of Charlotte; her son, Monty Bissette and wife Wendy of Charlotte; sister, Glenda Pittman and husband Marion of Tarboro, NC; six grandchildren, Michael Kenna, Jason Kenna, Paul Kenna, Shane Bissette, Madison Bissette, and Sean Bissette, all of Charlotte; and three great- grandchildren, Mason Kenna, Aiden Kenna and Cora Kenna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ronald Best and Raymond Best, and sister, Janice Jump, all of Wilson, NC.
A Prayer Service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12th in the Day Chapel of St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, with the Rev. Daniel T. Kenna officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
