A loving father with a generous spirit, Jack was a happy man with a heart full of love for his family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, never meeting a stranger, and his strong sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Jack proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at General Tire, where he worked for over 30 years. A self-made man, Jack took immense pride in his work, never missing a day on the job. In addition to his work, Jack had a passion for sports, particularly NASCAR and boxing. He found great joy in cheering for his favorite drivers and fighters, and he cherished time spent tending to his beloved Corvette, affectionately named Yellowjacket.
Above all, Jack was most proud of his faith. For 49 years, he was a devoted follower of Jesus, a strong man of God who shared the love of Christ with everyone he met. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his actions and interactions, and leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to cross his path.
Left to cherish Jack’s memory are his children, Barbara A. Brown, Raven Brown (Karen), and Joy Brown Biddle (Brendon); grandchildren Jeffrey Barnette, Scotty Barnette, Abbie Brown, Haley Bramlett, and Savannah Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews; 3 nieces; cousin, Wanda Helms who was like a sister to him, Melissa Barnette, to whom we extend special thanks; and Junior Wood, a devoted friend of 65 years. Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Whited Biggerstaff, and sister, Barbara D. Brown.
Jack leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will be remembered by all those that loved him. We will miss him deeply.
