James J. Bond, 82 passed away May 2, 2016. He was born on August 3, 1933 in Cincinnati to Herbert & Hattie Belle (Dumford) Bond. James graduated from Norwood High School along with Miami University in Engineering. In 1970 he married Kitty Hatfield and they later divorced. James is survived by his children; Katrina (Mike) Svach and James A. Bond, along with grandchildren; Kennedy and Spencer Taylor, brother; Daniel Bond. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Paul & Jack Bond.
James was lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge. He served in the US Navy and the US Army during the Korean War. James retired to Lake Wylie NC where loved golfing and fishing. He was an avid gun collector.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home, Spring Grove from 11-12 noon with funeral services to be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery with military honors. www.springgrove.org
