James Douglas Cranmer

Doug had been disabled from birth but that didn’t stop him from enjoying life. He loved long conversations on the phone with family and friends. He savored his time at the bowling alley, and was always ready to go on a shopping trip.

He is survived by his caring sister, Michie Faina (Rick) of Duluth, GA; his nephews, Ryan Cranmer (Melanie) and Neal Cranmer; and niece, Trinity Turgeon (Michael). He is also survived by Denise Brown and family, Doug’s caregivers for the last 13 years. We owe them a special gratitude.

The funeral service to honor the life of James Douglas Cranmer will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 pm prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
